Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 19 October 2026
Aligned Hearts introduces adults who want a committed relationship. That is the whole product. It is not an adult service, and it never will be. Paid companionship of any kind, sexual content, and anyone under 18 are prohibited absolutely, with no warning and no appeal. This page sets out the rest, including how we moderate and what gets an account removed.
1. What Aligned Hearts is
Aligned Hearts is an introductions practice for adults who are looking for a committed, long-term relationship. It consists of four things and nothing else:
- The app — free, with introductions matched on the Five Alignments and messaging with mutual matches.
- Matchmaking — a retained six-month professional engagement.
- Coaching — individual and couples sessions.
- Events — ticketed in-person evenings.
What we sell is professional time and a seat in a room. Access to another person is never for sale, at any price, under any description.
2. What Aligned Hearts is not
Aligned Hearts is not a sexually oriented service. It is not an escort, companionship or paid-dating service. It is not a hookup service, an adult chat or cam service, a pornography service, or a marriage brokerage. It does not and will not host sexual content, and it does not and will not facilitate the sale of sexual or companionship services.
We state this plainly because the industry we sit next to contains all of those things, and because members, app stores and payment providers are each entitled to know which side of that line a service is on before they trust it.
This is not a positioning statement we could quietly revise later. Section 3 is enforced, and the enforcement is what makes the statement true.
3. Prohibited absolutely
Any of the following ends an account immediately and permanently, without warning, without appeal and without refund:
- Prostitution or escorting — offering, soliciting, arranging or advertising sexual services for money or anything of value
- Paid companionship of any kind — offering or seeking company, dates, attention or affection in exchange for money, gifts, an allowance, travel, rent, or any other consideration
- Sugar dating and allowance arrangements, under that name or any other
- Human trafficking and sex trafficking, and commercial sexual exploitation in any form, which is also reported to law enforcement
- Sexual violence — threatening, describing, soliciting, arranging or glorifying a sexual act without consent
- Non-consensual content — intimate images of anybody shared without their consent, including so-called revenge imagery and anything produced or altered by a model to depict a real person; also threatening to share such an image
- Scams and fraud aimed at members, including any attempt to obtain money, financial details or credentials by deception — see section 7
- Pornography and sexually explicit content — including nudity, sexual imagery, explicit text, and anything produced for the purpose of sexual gratification, whether photographed, drawn, animated or generated by a model
- Adult live chat, cam work or sexual performance, offered or solicited
- Advertising or linking to any of the above, including links to subscription content, cam platforms or paid-message services
- Anything involving a minor — see the Child Safety Standards, which carry their own reporting obligations
There is no version of this list that comes with a strike. A single instance is the end of the account.
4. Adults only
You must be 18 or older. Date of birth is collected at account creation and an underage date blocks registration. Where Apple or Google supplies an age signal under state app-store accountability laws, we use it to block underage accounts and for nothing else.
Nothing on Aligned Hearts is browsable, indexed or visible without an adult account. There is no public profile directory.
Attempting to contact anyone you believe to be under 18 is covered by section 3 and by the Child Safety Standards.
5. Content standards
Photographs. They must be of you, they must be current, and you must be clothed. No nudity, no underwear shots, no sexual posing, no images whose point is the body rather than the person. Group photographs are fine; a photograph where we cannot tell which person you are is not.
Your profile text. No contact details — no phone numbers, email addresses, social handles or links. Not because we want to keep you inside the app, but because a profile carrying a phone number is the standard opening move of every romance fraud operation, and because you should choose who gets that information rather than publishing it to a stack of strangers.
Also prohibited in profiles, prompts, photographs and messages: hate speech or slurs; threats; content degrading a group; graphic violence; illegal goods or services; multi-level marketing, recruiting, political campaigning, fundraising, or any other commercial use of the service.
6. Be who you say you are
One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, rent, share or lend yours, and you may not create a new one after being removed.
You may not impersonate anyone, use another person's photographs, use stock or model photography as your own, use images generated or edited to misrepresent your appearance, or misstate your age, marital status, location or intentions.
Misrepresentation is a material breach whether or not anyone was harmed by it. The service only works if what a profile says is true.
7. Money between members
Never send money to anyone you have met here. Not for a flight, not for a customs fee, not for a medical bill, not for an investment, not for a crypto account, not for a gift card, not once. There is no legitimate version of that request.
Soliciting money, financial information, cryptocurrency, gift cards or investments from another member is prohibited for any reason, however it is framed.
Aligned Hearts will never ask you for money on another member's behalf, and nobody working here will ever contact you to do so. Any message that does is fraudulent, whoever it appears to come from.
Attempting to defraud a member means immediate permanent removal and referral to law enforcement. Where we remove somebody for fraud we may tell the members who were in contact with them, and you agree that we may.
8. How we moderate
Here is what actually happens, rather than a statement about how seriously we take safety. Some of it is weaker than you might assume, which is why it is written down.
Photographs are not screened before they appear. An upload is visible straight away. There is no automated nudity or content scan, and no person looks at it first. What happens instead is that a photograph which should not be there is removed when it is reported, by a person, usually the same day. The Safety & Community Standards page says the same thing, and neither page is going to pretend otherwise.
What we do enforce:
- No photograph is ever public. Photographs live in private storage and are served only through links that expire after fifteen minutes. There is no public URL at any point, nothing is indexable, and nothing can be hotlinked out of the app.
- An incomplete profile does not circulate. A profile is introduced to nobody until the account holds a verified email address or telephone number, is in good standing, and has at least one photograph that has not been removed. This is a completeness check and not a review — no person looks at a photograph before it appears. The rule lives in the database rather than in application code and is re-evaluated whenever any of those change, so there is no other route to being seen.
- Every member can report another, from the profile or from the conversation, with no obligation to say why, and reporting somebody never affects your own standing.
- Every member can block another immediately. A block is instant, mutual, and does not notify the person blocked.
- Reports are read by a person — not a classifier and not a queue — acknowledged within one business day. Anything involving a minor, a threat, or sexual content is escalated ahead of everything else and reviewed the same day.
- We act on patterns, not only on single reports. A profile accumulating reports is reviewed whether or not any one of them is conclusive on its own.
- Removal is permanent. We keep the minimum necessary to stop a removed account coming back under a new email address.
What we do not do is pre-read your messages. Conversations between matched members are private, and we look at a conversation when it is reported to us or when we are required to. The Safety & Community Standards page sets out what we check and, just as importantly, what we do not.
9. What happens when somebody breaches this
Immediate permanent removal, no refund: anything in section 3, fraud, threats of violence, and any attempt involving a minor. These are also reported to law enforcement where the law requires it or the circumstances warrant it.
Content removed, and a conversation: a photograph or profile line that breaches section 5, where the rest of the account looks like somebody who simply had not read this page.
Suspension pending review: where a report is serious and the facts are not yet clear. We would rather pause an account and find out than leave somebody exposed while we decide.
You can appeal any removal that is not under section 3 by emailing hello@alignedhearts.singles. A person reads it. Removals under section 3 are final.
Removal for breach means no refund, as set out on the Cancellations & Refunds page. Removal without cause means the unused portion of anything you have paid comes back.
10. Where Aligned Hearts is available
Aligned Hearts is operated from the United States and intended for use by residents of the United States.
We do not offer, and do not accept payment for, dating, matchmaking or introduction services in India, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand or Malaysia, where services of this kind are restricted or prohibited. We do not carry out international marriage brokerage anywhere, which is a separate regulated activity.
If you are outside the United States, local law governs whether you may use a service like this one, and that is yours to check before you sign up.
11. Reporting a breach of this policy
Report from inside the app, or email hello@alignedhearts.singles. Put CHILD SAFETY in the subject line for anything involving a minor and it jumps the queue.
In an immediate emergency, call 911 first and tell us afterwards.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any change here with a new effective date, and we will email members about any change that narrows what is permitted. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
